The Rogue Queen

The third book in Emily R. King’s Hundredth Queen Series is titled “The Rogue Queen.” The main character Kalinda, has overcome many obstacles, including death tournaments, being married to a despot, and being prohibited from controlling fire. But a demon posing as her late husband labels her and her friends as betrayers. They escape to the Southern Isles, where there is no condemnation of Kalinda’s abilities. She must ally with those she distrusts to retake the empire and bring peace to a divided country as she fights the demon’s cold venom that is tainting her fire.
