The Tourist

Alex Sherman’s novella “The Tourist” is about space travel. Traveling to a mining outpost on a small planetoid, distant from their sun, is the story of a young academic. He investigates the music and customs of a small, completely dark-living squatter community there. No student has ever been permitted to visit that there before, until now. The book looks at academics, culture, and exploration as themes.
