Time Is Tight is a musical piece written by Booker T. & the M.G., created for the soundtrack of the 1968 film UpTight. The band recorded two versions of the track – the shorter (3:14), slower rendition was released as a single in 1969, and it turned out to be one of the group’s most successful hits, reaching #7 on the US R&B charts.
