Avijit Roy

Avijit Roy was a Bangladeshi-American blogger, writer, and human rights, activist. He was known for his outspoken views on issues such as secularism, free speech, and religious extremism, which he often shared through his writing.

Avijit Roy was the founder of the popular blog “Mukto-Mona,” which focused on promoting free thinking and rationalism, and he was a vocal critic of fundamentalism and religious intolerance. His writing and activism earned him numerous accolades and recognition, including the International Humanist Award.

Tragically, Avijit Roy was brutally murdered in 2015 by extremists who opposed his views. Despite this tragic event, Avijit Roy’s legacy lives on, and his contributions to promoting free thought and rationalism continue to inspire people all over the world.
