Hasnat Abdul Hye was born on 19 May 1937. He is a Bangladeshi Writer and Novelist. He was awarded the Ekushe Padak by the Government of Bangladesh in 1994.
He studied economics at the University of Dhaka, the University of Washington, London School of Economics and Development studies at Cambridge.
Hye Wrote many types of stories in his career, starting from short stories to even Travelogues. He is very much respected for his work in the community.
