I Love You Man (Masud Rana-78,79,80)

I Love You Man (Masud Rana 78, 79, 80) is a rare three-part adventure from the earlier years of Qazi Anwar Hussain's spy-thriller series. Three-volume Masud Rana stories were even more ambitious than the two-part ones, used by the author when a single plot demanded the kind of length more typical of a full novel.

The early years of the series were when Qazi Anwar Hussain was still finding his feet — refining the voice, working out which kinds of stories worked best for Bengali readers, and gradually adding the supporting characters who would become permanent fixtures. The numbering may suggest middle-period, but the writing here is from the formative years of one of the most influential series in Bangladeshi popular fiction.

For readers interested in the development of Masud Rana as a literary phenomenon, the early three-volume sets are particularly worth seeking out.
