Durbin is one of Shirshendu Mukhopadhyay’s loved novels. Title means binoculars or telescope, and the book uses that image of looking carefully at people’s lives. Shirshendu’s quiet observational style is at its best here.

Reads in a few evenings. One of the warmer entries in his fiction.
