Ekattorer Dinguli

Ekattorer Dinguli is Jahanara Imam’s diary of the year 1971, the months of the Bangladesh Liberation War. Her son Rumi joined the guerrilla forces and was eventually killed. The book is her record of those days, written from inside the war as a mother and a citizen.

It became one of the central memoirs of the war and remains essential reading for any Bangladeshi.
