DMCA Copyright Policy

BDeBooks indexes and hosts eBooks across six catalogues: Bengali, English, Spanish, Portuguese, French and German. We produce no original
copyrighted work of our own. If something is hosted here without authorisation, it comes down on a
valid notice, normally within 24 to 48 hours.

Sending a takedown notice

Email [email protected] with the subject line DMCA Takedown
Request
, and include all of the following:

  1. The work. Title, author, ISBN if there is one, and year of publication.
  2. The exact URL or URLs on bdebooks.com. This is the part that matters most. We
act on the address you name, so a list of URLs is actioned in full and a title alone cannot be.
  3. Your contact details. Full name, mailing address, telephone number, email.
  4. A statement of good faith: “I have a good faith belief that use of the material
described above is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.”
  5. A statement of accuracy under penalty of perjury: “The information in this
notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, I am the copyright owner or authorized to
act on behalf of the copyright owner.”
  6. Your signature, physical or electronic.

What we do with it

  • We acknowledge receipt within 24 hours.
  • We remove or disable the content within 24 to 48 hours.
  • Every URL named in a notice stays gone permanently. We do not restore it later and we do not
reuse the address for another book.
  • We keep the notice on record.

Counter-notice

If your content was removed in error, send a counter-notice containing your contact details, the
material and its previous URL, a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe it was removed
by mistake or misidentification, your consent to the jurisdiction of the applicable courts, and your
signature.

Repeat infringers

Access is terminated for anyone who repeatedly infringes copyright, in appropriate
circumstances.

False claims

Filing a false DMCA claim is unlawful and carries legal liability. Please be certain you are the
rights holder or an authorised agent before sending one.
