BDeBooks respects the intellectual property rights of authors, publishers, and rights holders. We comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and respond promptly to legitimate takedown requests.

Our Approach

BDeBooks is an indexing and hosting service for Bengali literature. We do not produce original copyrighted works. If a copyrighted book is hosted on our Site without authorization, we will remove it upon receiving a valid notice — typically within 24 to 48 hours.

How to Submit a DMCA Takedown Notice

To remove infringing content, send an email to [email protected] with the subject line “DMCA Takedown Request” containing the following information:

  1. Identification of the copyrighted work: Provide the book title, author name, ISBN (if applicable), and publication year.
  2. Identification of the infringing material on BDeBooks: Provide the exact URL(s) on bdebooks.com where the content appears.
  3. Your contact information: Your full name, mailing address, telephone number, and email.
  4. A statement of good faith: “I have a good faith belief that use of the material described above is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.”
  5. A statement of accuracy under penalty of perjury: “The information in this notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, I am the copyright owner or authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.”
  6. Your physical or electronic signature.

What Happens Next

Once we receive a complete and valid notice:

  1. We will acknowledge receipt within 24 hours
  2. We will remove or disable access to the content within 24-48 hours
  3. We will notify the user who uploaded the content (if applicable)
  4. We will retain the takedown notice in our records

Counter-Notice

If you believe your content was removed in error, you may submit a counter-notice with:

  1. Your contact information
  2. Identification of the removed material and its previous URL
  3. A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the content was removed by mistake or misidentification
  4. Your consent to the jurisdiction of the courts of Bangladesh
  5. Your signature

Repeat Infringer Policy

BDeBooks will terminate access for users who repeatedly infringe copyrights, in appropriate circumstances.
