Elle Kennedy’s “The Goal” is an engrossing romantic book. Sabrina James, a senior in college, has her entire future mapped out: she will graduate, do well in law school, and land a well-paying job. She doesn’t consider love until she meets hockey player John Tucker, who thinks that love can happen to everyone.
Everything changes after their amazing night together, but Sabrina’s heart stays closed. Tucker isn’t going to sit on the sidelines in life; he’s determined to be a team player on and off the rink. They learn that certain objectives can only be accomplished with assistance as they navigate the unexpected role of motherhood.
