The Blushing Bounder

Meljean Brook’s short story “The Blushing Bounder” is part of the “Iron Seas” series. The main character of the tale is Constable Newberry, who in “The Iron Duke” was instrumental in rescuing England. Before those things happened, though, Newberry had to deal with a different type of threat to his heart that of the lady he was obliged to marry. The story investigates how this large, mature boulevardier can persuade his spouse to remain.
