Amanda Deibert writes for animation and for comics, and spent four years scripting Al Gore's annual climate broadcast 24 Hours of Reality. Her television credits take in the Netflix series He-Man and the Masters of the Universe and Hot Wheels: Let's Race, plus variety work for CBS, SyFy and Hulu. Legends from Castle Grayskull, issued by Scholastic in 2022, came directly off that Netflix show: Deibert wrote the eighty-page graphic novel with Rob David, who developed the series, and Mike Anderson drew it. The story follows He-Man and the other Masters through their first night inside the castle, snacks and interdimensional rooms included. She lives in Los Angeles with her wife, the illustrator Cat Staggs, and the two have collaborated often. Elsewhere in comics she has written DC Super Hero Girls, Wonder Woman '77, Teen Titans Go! and Harley Quinn titles for DC, and Star Wars Hyperspace Stories for Dark Horse.
