Ann Hood

Ann Hood works as a novelist, memoirist, essayist, and editor, often connecting personal experience with the sustaining practices of everyday life. She edited Knitting Yarns after noticing how many writers also knitted and how readily they told stories about the craft. The collection gathers essays and a poem by contributors including Barbara Kingsolver, Ann Patchett, Andre Dubus III, Anita Shreve, Elizabeth Berg, and Sue Grafton, alongside six knitting patterns. Hood later edited the companion anthology Knitting Pearls.
