Annabeth Albert

Albert writes queer romance across contemporary, military and small-town lines and publishes several books a year; the Portland Heat titles are the food-service ones. Her consistent position is that the emotional work rather than the heat level is what readers come back for, and she writes bisexual and demisexual leads deliberately because those were missing from the shelf when she started. She lives in the Pacific Northwest and came up through fan communities, which she says openly.
