Anne McAllister

Anne McAllister has built a long romance-writing career around contemporary stories of families, working lives, and relationships shaped by strong local communities. Valentine Charms follows schoolteacher Jane Kitto and former professional football player Zack Stoner after a classroom project draws them into each other's lives. Tule Publishing issued the novel in 2018. McAllister's extensive bibliography includes the Cowboys of Horse Thief Mountain books, the Tanner Brothers sequence, and numerous titles published by Harlequin and Mills & Boon. Her series often connect siblings, neighbours, and friends so that one couple's story also enlarges a continuing fictional community. Valentine Charms uses a school setting and children's matchmaking efforts for comedy, but its central conflict concerns two people reconsidering settled expectations.
