One More Chapter released it in 2023, and the series continues with Keep Your Family Close. Dashofy was already known for the long-running Zoe Chambers mysteries, which pair a rural paramedic and deputy coroner with police chief Pete Adams. That earlier sequence earned repeated Agatha Award nominations, while her standalone Death by Equine received the Dr. Tony Ryan Book Award. Where the Guilty Hide retains her interest in place and community but gives its investigators a more urban Lake Erie landscape. The book therefore marks both a new cast and a deliberate expansion of Dashofy’s established crime-fiction territory.
