Arushi Avachat is a Bay Area writer whose teen fiction examines cultural expectations, friendship, family, and the uncertainty surrounding major life changes. She contributed to Study Break, a 2023 anthology edited by Aashna Avachat and published by Feiwel & Friends. Set across one academic year at the fictional University of Milbridge, the collection links stories by Gen Z writers into a shared portrait of college life. Its students reconsider majors, relationships, faith, identity, and the approach of adulthood, while recurring places and overlapping characters turn separate contributions into a campus community. Avachat later published Arya Khanna's Bollywood Moment, a family-centered romantic comedy, and Rani Deshpande Takes the Wheel. She studied English, political science, and South Asian studies at UCLA before completing graduate study in English and American studies at Oxford as a Marshall Scholar. Study Break captures an early stage of her bibliography, placing her voice beside those of Jake Maia Arlow, Ananya Devarajan, Camryn Garrett, Christina Li, and other writers for teen readers.
