Brandon Stanton, born on March 1, 1984, is an American author, photographer, and blogger. He is best known as the creator of Humans of New York, a photoblog and book that captures the diverse lives and stories of people living primarily in New York City. Through his lens, Stanton has taken hundreds of portraits, accompanied by snippets of conversations about their lives. His work extends beyond the United States, as he has traveled to more than 20 countries, including Iran, Iraq, Uganda, Ukraine, and Mexico, capturing the essence of people and their experiences. Stanton’s Humans of New York book, published in October 2013, received positive reviews and reached the number one position on The New York Times Non-Fiction Best Sellers list.
