C.B. Conwy

C.B. Conwy wrote linked romantic fiction in which recurring partners face new tests after their first commitment. Happily Ever After continues Tom and Mischa's story as the fourth Russian Bear installment, following the consequences of a crisis that unsettled their trust. Rather than treating partnership as a finished reward, Conwy returns to the work of rebuilding communication and acknowledging weakness. The sequence also includes A Russian Bear, How to Domesticate a Russian Bear, Of Russian Myth and Lore, and the related short His Something. Happily Ever After appeared in 2012 and keeps its focus on characters already established across earlier volumes, so its emotional movement depends on memory and continuity rather than a new courtship. Conwy's series structure allows changes in Tom and Mischa's relationship to accumulate from book to book. This installment consequently works as a later chapter about repair, mutual responsibility, and the difficulty of sustaining the future promised by a conventional romantic ending.
