Carol Leonnig reported for The Washington Post from 2000 to 2025 before joining MS NOW as a senior investigative reporter. Her coverage of security failures within the U.S. Secret Service received the 2015 Pulitzer Prize for National Reporting, and she shared in several other Pulitzer-winning Post teams. I Alone Can Fix It, coauthored with fellow journalist Philip Rucker and published by Penguin Press in 2021, examines the final year of Donald Trump's first presidential term. It followed the pair's earlier collaboration, A Very Stable Genius. Leonnig also wrote Zero Fail, which chronicles the Secret Service. Together, these books extend her institutional reporting into long-form political history built from interviews and documentary detail.
