Connie Mann

Connie Mann writes romantic suspense shaped by Florida landscapes, rescue work, and conflicts of trust. Beyond Risk opens her Florida Wildlife Warriors series and was published by Sourcebooks Casablanca in 2019. The novel follows former wildlife officer Charlee Tanner and Lieutenant Hunter Boudreau as they revisit a drowning that Charlee has long blamed herself for. Mann places their investigation in central Florida, where the work of the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission gives the mystery a distinctive professional setting. Beyond Power and Beyond Fear continue the series with other officers and new investigations. Mann has also developed the Safe Harbor novels, beginning with Tangled Lies, and the Speranza Team books. Across these connected works, she uses public-service roles, dangerous environments, and family loyalties to create pressure around each relationship. Beyond Risk establishes that approach through Charlee, whose knowledge of the wilderness is central to uncovering what happened.
