David Aaronovitch

David Aaronovitch has worked in British journalism, broadcasting, and nonfiction since the early 1980s. Voodoo Histories investigates prominent modern conspiracy theories and asks why unsupported explanations can remain persuasive even after their claims have been challenged. Published by Jonathan Cape and later by Vintage, the book examines cases ranging from the forged Protocols of the Elders of Zion to theories about the moon landings, September 11, and the death of Diana, Princess of Wales. Aaronovitch brings the habits of a columnist and reporter to the subject, combining historical reconstruction with an argument for evidence, responsible skepticism, and the public importance of distinguishing inquiry from speculation.
