Delphine Minoui
Delphine Minoui is a French-Iranian journalist and author whose reporting has followed political and social life across the Middle East. Born in Paris to a French mother and Iranian father, she has worked from Tehran, Beirut, Cairo, and Istanbul and served as a correspondent for Le Figaro. I’m Writing You from Tehran is structured as a letter to her late grandfather, recounting the decade she spent in Iran after returning there in 1998. The memoir combines family history, observation, and the perspective of a reporter watching private lives adapt to public restriction. Emma Ramadan translated the English edition, published by Picador. Minoui received the Albert Londres Prize for her journalism and later wrote about the secret library created by residents of Daraya in Syria. I’m Writing You from Tehran stands at the meeting point of her Iranian inheritance and her sustained work as a foreign correspondent.
