Donna Galanti

Donna Galanti writes middle-grade adventures in which ordinary children enter hidden worlds and discover that courage depends on loyalty as much as power. Joshua and the Arrow Realm is the second book in her Lightning Road series, following Joshua and the Lightning Road. The novel returns Joshua Cooper to Nostos when King Apollo needs help in the Arrow Realm, forcing him to navigate betrayal, imprisonment, mythical creatures, and divided ties between Earth and the magical realm. Galanti draws on Greek myth while creating new rules and beings for her imagined world. Her other books for young readers include the Unicorn Island sequence, an illustrated fantasy series about a mysterious island and its creatures, and Loon Cove Summer. Across those projects, natural settings and concealed dangers give young protagonists room to make consequential choices without losing the pace of an adventure story. Joshua and the Arrow Realm continues that pattern while completing the two-book Lightning Road arc.
