Ethel Colburn Mayne

Ethel Colburn Mayne (1865–1941) was an Irish novelist, short-story writer, critic, and translator. Her career began with fiction in The Yellow Book in the 1890s, where she published under the pen name Frances E. Huntley and briefly served as sub-editor. She is best remembered for her two-volume life of Byron (1912) and a later study of Lady Byron, alongside literary criticism and translations from French and German.
