Author: Ged Adamson

Before picture books, Ged Adamson drew storyboards and cartoons and wrote music for film and television. He grew up in Liverpool sketching sharks, dinosaurs and footballers, and now lives in London. Bird Hugs, which he wrote and illustrated himself, was published by Two Lions in February 2020. Bernard, its hero, has wings so long that he cannot fly, and he keeps his distance from the other birds until he works out what those wings are genuinely good for. Adamson drew the pages in pencil and watercolour, then scanned and assembled the elements in Photoshop. His other books include Douglas, You Need Glasses!, Shark Dog! and A Fox Found a Box.
