Hank Green had an audience of millions for science before he had one for fiction. With his brother, the novelist John Green, he began posting a daily video exchange in 2007 that grew into Vlogbrothers, and he went on to create SciShow and Crash Course and to co-found VidCon, the yearly gathering for online video makers. He holds a biochemistry degree from Eckerd College and a master's in environmental studies from the University of Montana, and started out running EcoGeek, a blog on environmental technology. An Absolutely Remarkable Thing, his first novel, appeared in 2018: a young designer in New York films a strange metal figure standing on a street corner overnight, the clip travels round the world, and the rest of the book is about living inside that kind of attention. A sequel, A Beautifully Foolish Endeavor, followed in 2020. He lives in Missoula, Montana.
