The Pirate Code continues the Hook’s Revenge series with Jocelyn Hook pursuing her father’s hidden fortune. A coded map sends her toward Peter Pan for answers, while friendship, rivalry, and an unexpectedly willing captive complicate the expedition. Little, Brown Books for Young Readers published this second Hook’s Revenge volume with illustrations by John Hendrix. Jocelyn’s courage, loyalty, and irreverent encounters with established Peter Pan figures remain central. The Pirate Code combines treasure-hunt structure with humorous narration and emotional questions about family and a young captain’s future. Schulz does not simply repeat the older story’s conflicts; she gives Jocelyn authority over the adventure, allowing a character usually defined by her famous father to choose her own crew, risks, alliances, and understanding of Neverland.
