Jerica MacMillan

Jerica MacMillan writes contemporary romance, often linking individual couples through teams, campuses, small communities, and returning friends. The fifth Marycliff Football novel, Offsides, arrived in 2022. It centers on Nate and Dani, longtime friends whose easy familiarity changes as they begin to recognize a different future together. The college-football setting connects Nate's athletic commitments with the wider Marycliff cast, while Dani's perspective keeps the story attentive to what their friendship might lose as well as gain. MacMillan uses the friends-to-lovers structure to build tension from shared history rather than a chance meeting. Offsides stands within a catalogue that also includes the Players of Marycliff University, Arcadian Falls Christmas, and Songs and Sonatas series. The novel shows her preference for interconnected romantic worlds in which teammates, relatives, and friends remain active around the central pair. Its place in Marycliff Football gives returning readers continuity while Nate and Dani receive a complete relationship arc.
