📚 1 Book ✍️ Fiction Books 📄 PDF & EPUB

Jules Kelley opens the Moonrise series with Edge of the Woods, a paranormal romance set in Pine Grove, Montana. Haley Fern leads the local werewolf pack through election rather than physical dominance and also directs a nature preserve. Her responsibilities become harder when new deputy Leland Sommers arrives with an injured teenager whose condition threatens the community's secrecy. City Owl Press debuted the book during 2021; a second edition followed from Kelley's own imprint in 2025. Its plot combines a local investigation, pack politics, conservation work, and a developing relationship between Haley and Leland. Its supernatural structure is especially attentive to chosen leadership and consent: Haley must protect a newly changed young person, negotiate with neighboring groups, and decide how much truth Leland can safely know. The book continues in Night is for Hunting. Kelley also writes queer romance and speculative fiction, and the supporting cast in this debut reflects that interest in varied identities without making any single identity the sole source of conflict.
