Katie Ganshert
Katie Ganshert began with contemporary fiction for the Christian market and now uses K. E. Ganshert for speculative fiction. Trained in education, she taught fifth grade for several years before focusing on novels. Life After follows a sole survivor as she rebuilds her life and received a Christy Award; A Broken Kind of Beautiful earned the same honor. No One Ever Asked, inspired by real events, examines three women connected to a changing school district and was a CBA bestseller. Her other contemporary work includes The Art of Losing Yourself, winner of a Carol Award. Raised in the American Midwest, Ganshert grounds much of her faith-centered writing in hope, grief and complicated relationships.
