Morehouse uses investigator Deidre McMann and the enigmatic Mouse to test whether apparently supernatural events can be separated from code, institutions, or personal belief. Her other work includes the LINK Angel books and fiction written as Tate Hallaway. Fallen Host belongs to the cyberpunk side of her career, but its central questions concern trust and interpretation as much as technology. That tension gives conviction measurable consequences within an intensely connected city. By making theology part of civic life rather than decorative mythology, Morehouse gives the AngeLINK sequence a distinctive argument about how people identify authority when both machines and visions can speak.
