Lydia Syson

Lydia Syson is a British writer whose historical fiction for younger readers explores episodes often left outside familiar classroom narratives. Her novels include A World Between Us, set around the Spanish Civil War, and That Burning Summer, which examines pacifism and Polish pilots in wartime Britain. Liberty’s Fire turns to the Paris Commune of 1871.
