Nathan Hystad builds science-fiction series around first contact, survival and large-scale mysteries. Based near Edmonton, Alberta, he publishes through Woodbridge Press. Dark Invasion, released in 2023, opens the Travelers trilogy and places college student Elliot on Bell Island during an incursion in the summer of 1984. Dark City and Dark World continue the sequence, and Jonathan Davis narrates the audiobook of Dark Invasion. Alongside the Survivors and Baldwin’s Legacy, the Travelers books show Hystad’s preference for connected casts, escalating survival problems and mysteries that widen across a series.
