Patrick Henry

Patrick Henry (1736-1799) was an American politician, lawyer, planter and orator counted among the Founding Fathers. In a 1775 speech to the Second Virginia Convention he declared that he wanted liberty or death. He was governor of Virginia twice, from 1776 to 1779 and again from 1784 to 1786.
