Pierre Alex Jeanty

Jeanty was born in Haiti and moved to the United States as a child, and began posting short poems about love and accountability on social media before any publisher was interested. He built the audience himself, and the books came after: Her, To the Women I Once Loved, and the HEArt volumes, most addressed plainly to women and about the ways men fail them. He also founded Gentlemenhood, a men's community organised around the same argument. The work sells heavily and attracts almost no critical attention.
