Union Pacific produced illustrated travel literature as part of its railroad promotion, presenting western landscapes through routes, itineraries, maps, and practical visitor information. Zion Bryce Canyon Grand Canyon National Parks belongs to that corporate publishing tradition rather than to the work of an individual literary author. National Park Service history records editions of the booklet from 1939, 1940, 1949, and 1958, alongside related Union Pacific guides to Yellowstone, Grand Teton, Colorado, and other destinations. The publication linked Zion, Bryce Canyon, and the Grand Canyon within a single rail-oriented journey and directed prospective travelers to company representatives for planning assistance.
