A Land Divided

K.M. Ashman’s “A Land Divided” is the first novel in the Blood of Kings series. After William’s brutal conquest, Norman dominance over Britain is established in the year 1081. Wales is still the last stronghold of resistance, nevertheless. A monarch strives for supremacy in a divided country where brothers fight one another.

The rightful successor to the kingdom of Gwynedd, Gruffydd ap Cynan, is exiled across the sea. Gruffydd teams up with the overthrown king Tewdwr to build an army from the ashes of their kingdoms after learning of the betrayal of the pretender to the throne.
