Absolution

The first novel in the Honor Guard series is “Absolution,” written by Diane Alberts. Eva and Joseph are at the center of the story. When Joseph, the guy who cheated on Eva with a stripper, reappears in her life and says he’s protecting her from the Cartel, Eva is taken aback. Joseph is willing to put his own life in danger to protect Eva, despite his previous error. They have to face their traumatic past as they cooperate to defeat their enemy.
