Arius the Libyan is an 1883 historical novel, published anonymously and attributed to Nathan Chapman Kouns (1833-1890), a Missouri lawyer and writer. The book imagines the early church and the great Arian controversy over the nature of Christ, sympathetic to Arius against the triumphant orthodoxy, and was widely read and debated in its day. It belongs to the Victorian vogue for novels of the early Christian centuries. Free PDF download available on BDeBooks.
