Atone

The second novel in the Recovered Innocence series is “Atone,” written by Beth Yarnall. The main character of the story is Eve, a woman who is turned into her ex-lover and top Aegis Security agent Zane Archer after being accused of betraying her family. He wants the one thing she can’t offer him the truth. Even if she still has feelings for Zane. All evidence points to Eve as the one who sabotages Aegis and converts an American city into a combat zone. The only source of information Zane can find is Eve, and he finally has the elusive agent where he wants her at his mercy.
