Baron d'Holbach: A Study of Eighteenth Century Radicalism in France is a study by Max Pearson Cushing. The title page says the study was submitted in partial fulfilment of the requirements for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy, in the Faculty of Political Science, Columbia University New York 1914. The contents list names chapters, among others, Holbach, the Man, Holbach's Works and The Système de la Nature.
The detailed contents list mentions, among others, Early Letters to John Wilkes and Relations with Diderot, Rousseau, Hume, Garrick and other important persons of the century. A chapter headed Holbach, the Man, says Paul Heinrich Dietrich, better known as Paul-Henri Thiry, baron d'Holbach, was born in January, 1723, in the little village of Heidelsheim. The text says Holbach was a student in the University of Leyden in 1746 and spent a good deal of time at his uncle's estate at Héeze.
