About this book

Chain-Gang All-Stars is an authoritarian novel of Nana Kwame Adjei-Brenyah that depicts a new world prison system in which one has to fight to death in order to be a free person. After the gladiators Loretta Thurwar and Hamara “Hurricane Staxx,” the cast gets into the catalog of systemic injustice, lack of respect and being human. Real, intense, and kinetic, it’s a harrowing polemic against the prison industrial complex.
