About this book

Fern persuades her father to let her care for a small, weak newborn pig. Named Wilbur, he becomes friends with Charlotte, a barn spider who uses words in her web to persuade the farmer to keep him alive. E. B. White's children's fantasy places this friendship within farm life, beginning with Fern's determination to give the pig a chance.
