Children of the Resurrection comes from Ian Maclaren, the pen name of the Rev. John Watson (1850-1907), the Liverpool Presbyterian minister whose Beside the Bonnie Brier Bush sold by the hundred thousand and led the Kailyard school of Scottish fiction. This devotional work shows the preacher behind the novelist, meditating on immortality and the life to come for the great chapel-going public that read everything he wrote.
