Complications: In Conversation with Atul Gawande, A Surgeon’s Notes on an Imperfect Science is an exploration of the obstacles and doubts known in surgery. Some of the topics Gawande discusses include the following questions: what it is like to make decisions that will determine whether a patient lives or dies; and betrayals of human body. If there is one medical drama that I would recommend, it has to be one that makes you think about the value of life or medicine or anything.
