Defend the Dawn

The second novel in Brigid Kemmerer’s “Defy the Night” series is titled “Defend the Dawn.” The story takes place in the soon-to-be-revolutionary kingdom of Kandala. In addition to battling the consuls in charge of the Moonflower, which is the source of a life-saving elixir, King Harristan, Tessa, and Prince Corrick are working to promote harmony between rebels and royals. To heal their damaged relationship and provide aid to the Kandala people, Tessa and Corrick set out on a risky quest when an emissary from the nearby kingdom of Ostriary makes an alluring proposition.
