Forsaken

J. Michael Radcliffe’s short tale “Forsaken” takes place in the same universe as his book “The Guardian’s Apprentice.” Dying Corvinus Black looks for redemption. If Nisha his daughter discovers the potent talisman in time, she may be able to reverse the curse, but she will have to risk everything to get it. In just over 3,400 words, the story takes place, fusing urgency and fantasy as Nisha fights against fate.
