About this book

Creative work can begin without formal training, spare time or certainty about talent. This guide draws advice from looking at art, listening to artists and recalling the author's own attempts to make it. Its short reflections address fear, persistence and the act of starting, while considering the larger questions that often make both artists and observers hesitate.
