If Feelings Could Kill

Briana Kuni’s gripping story “If Feelings Could Kill” takes place on a remote island in the Pacific. The main character of the story is Bernice, also referred to as Bernie whose emotions can alter the actual universe. With a single outburst, they can destroy entire villages or explode into breathtaking scenery.

After her mother vanishes Bernie embarks on a mission to find her, and in doing so she comes across a horrifying secret that puts everyone on the island in danger for their livelihood. As Bernie gains control over her life, she discovers that even though emotions can kill, they can only ever be a blessing or a curse never both.
